SakhiAI

SakhiAI is an AI-supported reflection companion developed within the Maitri community to support girls and young women navigating education-to-work transitions across Grades 11-12, college, and early work life. SakhiAI does not prescribe decisions; it surfaces anonymized patterns from peer and senior lived experiences to support user-led reflection.

Non-therapeutic. Not evaluative. Not prescriptive. Designed to complement human mentoring.

How it works

Peer-anchored reflection

SakhiAI is grounded in an aggregated corpus of anonymized lived experiences collected within the Maitri ecosystem. When a user shares a concern, SakhiAI reflects relevant patterns from peers and seniors to normalize uncertainty and reduce fear of judgement.

Safeguards

Privacy-first by design

Controlled pilot deployment with informed consent and safeguarding oversight. Public documentation uses interface screenshots, not photos of individuals. SakhiAI is framed as reflective support, not therapy or decision-making.

Casebook recognition

SakhiAI is featured in the MeitY–UN Women AI and Gender Equality Casebook, showcased at India AI Impact Summit 2026.
